In a study posted Tuesday in the Journal of the American Medical Association, investigators from Boston University revealed that 110 out of 111 brains of former NFL players showed signs of CTE, a degenerative brain disease that has been linked with repeated blows to the head.

“At varying levels of severity, CTE manifests with memory problems, mood disorders, depression, and dementia,” an article in Business Insider explained.
