Officials in Contra Costa County, California, say a bat found in a park in Clayton, California, tested positive for rabies.

The bat was found “in a play structure area” at The Grove Park on July 16.

The animal later died, and tested positive for rabies.

Officials want anybody who thinks they or their children may have had contact with the bat to contact them, and are reminding citizens not to touch bats.
