WALKER COUNTY, ALABAMA (ALBOENEWS) — A dozen inmates escaped from the Walker County Jail in Jasper, Alabama, on Sunday, according to WBRC-TV.
Authorities said Sunday evening that six of the inmates have since been taken back into custody. As of Monday morning, 11 of the inmates were in custody.
WBRC is reporting that as of 9 a.m. ET, the following inmate is still on the loose.
- Brady Andrew Kilpatrick, age 24 of Cordova (in jail for Possession of Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of Marijuana 2nd)
UPDATE: Authorities are telling people nearby to stay inside, lock their doors and turn on outdoor lighting.

UPDATE: According to the Alabama Sheriff, the inmates escaped by tricking the guard into opening the door by covering the identifying numbers on the outside door with peanut butter. A new worker at the jail then was fooled into opening the outside door instead of the door to the man’s cell, giving the inmate freedom.
UPDATE: The last inmate, Brady Kilpatrick, has been caught in Florida. Kilpatrick was captured about 20 miles north of West Palm Beach.
