WASHINGTON, D.C. (ALBOENEWS)— According to a Defense Official Monday, the U.S. military has been monitoring “highly unusual and unprecedented levels” of North Korean submarine activity, as well as evidence of an ejection test.
An ejection test measures the capability of a submarine’s launch system of a missile. It uses a cold-launch system to propel the missile out of the submarine without the use of the missile’s engines. It is a crucial piece towards having a submarine capable of launching missiles.
This, coupled with this month’s earlier tests, have proved to be worrisome for U.S. officials. During his second full Cabinet meeting, President Trump told reporters, “We will handle North Korea. We are gonna be able to handle them. It will be handled. We handle everything.”
