NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE (ALBOENEWS)— In a statement released on Thursday, Southwest Airlines said that a sewage leak at Nashville International Airport may have contaminated about 200 bags of luggage.
In a statement to ABC News, airport officials say that a toilet in one of the women’s bathrooms was the source of the problem. The toilet was apparently positioned directly over the baggage handling zone.
The problem affected their early morning flights, and ten flights were delayed according to WKRN2 in Nashville. The bags were sanitized and replacement bags are being offered to customers on a case-to-case basis.
