WASHINGTON, D.C. (ALBOENEWS) — During a briefing on the opioid epidemic in the United States, President Donald Trump issued a bold statement regarding North Korean aggression.
As quoted by the Associated Press, Trump stated that North Korea, “had best not make any more threats to the United States” or “they will be met with fire and fury like the world has never seen.”

The statement appears to be in response to an article posted by the Washington Post, which reported that U.S. Intelligence Officials have assessed that North Korea may have produced a miniature nuclear warhead that would be capable of being used in their missiles. This would be a major step for North Korea towards being a nuclear capable country, and, in conjunction with earlier reports regarding the development of Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles by the North Koreans, could pose a serious threat to the United States.
The article goes on to mention that the Intelligence Community has raised the estimates for the total amount of bombs in the country’s nuclear arsenal. The new estimate claims that they may have up to 60 nuclear- capable weapons. However, judging the capabilities and extent of the nuclear arsenal of North Korea has always been a difficult endeavor, due to the isolation of the state.
