RICHMOND, VIRGINIA (ALBOENEWS) — In a statement, Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe called for all Confederate monuments in Virginia to be taken down.
He encouraged all city councils and the General Assembly to take down monuments that have become “flashpoints for hatred, division, and violence.” He went on to say that they should be relocated to museums or “more appropriate settings.”
