(ALBOENEWS) — Irma is a category three hurricane in the Atlantic Ocean right now, but the storm is on a track that is “dangerous” and headed towards the Northern Caribbean and United States this week, according to AccuWeather. Irma poses the biggest risk to the Leeward Islands at this time. Area residents are urged to take their preparations now.
The storm is predicted to strengthen to a category four hurricane by Tuesday, at which time it will affected Northern Caribbean islands such as the Leeward Islands, Antigua, Montserrat, St. Kitts, Nevis, Barbuda, Anguilla, and the British Virgin Islands.
