CASA GRANDE, ARIZONA (ALBOENEWS) — Authorities tell the Casa Grande Dispatch that four people were shot and killed in a town located southwest of Phoenix early Thursday morning.

Though a person of interest is in custody, police do not believe the individual to be a suspect. They are currently seeking at least one other suspect and have deployed a helicopter in the search.

A witness described hearing loud arguing and screaming combined with multiple gunshots in a nearby home located in a residential area, followed by a car quickly leaving the scene. Another witness says he saw two men leaving the home where gunfire was heard before fleeing in a vehicle.

Local schools are currently in lockdown.

Multiple local outlets, including ABC15 and 12 News have confirmed these reports, as have the Casa Grand Police Department. (1:48 p.m. ET)
