#BREAKING: Shooting on Campus at Virginia State University

ETTRICK, VIRGINIA (ALBOENEWS) — There has been a shooting on campus at Virginia State University, according to campus police.

The shooting occurred during Homecoming, according to local media.

The school was on lockdown as police searched for a suspect as of 9:30 p.m. ET.

UPDATE: A man was shot in the pelvis earlier this evening, according to police. The school remains on lockdown. (12:00 a.m. ET)

UPDATE: Police say the lockdown has been lifted, although they say that police will “remain vigilant.” (3:00 a.m. ET)
