Multiple people have been shot at a Walmart in Thornton, Colorado, according to police.

The shooting occurred at around 6 p.m. local time and police are currently searching the area for the suspect. Police have not yet said how many victims there are.

  • “We’ve got multiple parties down, we’re still trying to ascertain what their conditions are,” Officer Victor Avila of the Thornton Police Department told Reuters.”
  • Witness tells local media that he heard about 30 gunshots.

  • Eyewitness that was inside Walmart at deli section said the shots took place in that deli section near the front of the store, according to Fox Denver.
  • Nearby hospital says two people were transported with injuries sustained in trying to get out of the store. They were not shot. (10:30 p.m. ET)
  • A third person, the woman who was shot, has died following the shooting, according to police (12:25 a.m. ET November 2, 2017)
