BREAKING: Massive Manhunt for Gunman Near University of South Carolina Upstate

HIGHLIGHTS: A manhunt continued Tuesday afternoon for the man who shot another male at an apartment complex near the University of South Carolina Upstate in Spartanburg, South Carolina, according to officials. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Following the shooting, the school was briefly placed on lockdown, although it has now been lifted. 

The campus at University of South Carolina Upstate is on lockdown as police search for a gunman responsible for a shooting in apartments near the school. Police are looking for a suspect who fled on foot carrying an automatic weapon. “He is described as a black male wearing khaki pants and a grey hoodie.” A university spokesperson said one person was shot and has non-life-threatening. The campus, which is in Spartanburg, South Carolina, “has an undergraduate enrollment of about 5,600 students and is affiliated with the University of South Carolina in Columbia, South Carolina. (source) – 2:12 p.m. ET November 7, 2017
