The Michigan State Senate has passed a bill that will allow concealed weapons on the campus of schools, which has previously been “gun-free zones” according to CBS Detroit. The legislation also will allow concealed weapons in day cares, taverns, and casinos. (source) 4:05 p.m. ET November 8, 2017

Supporters of the new law say that it will help people better protect themselves from mass shooting events in these “target-rich environments.” It is unclear at this time whether or not the Governor will pass the bill, but he vetoed a similar bill in 2012. (source) 4:05 p.m. ET November 8, 2017
