A record-breaking amount of cocaine has been found buried underground in Colombia, according to CBS Miami. Authorities seized over 12 tons of cocaine, worth an estimated $360 million. Four hundred officials seized the drugs in four concurrent operations where they were buried underground and covered with banana leaves.

They say that the cocaine belonged to the Clan del Golfo, an armed trafficking group. They have taken over the space that FARC was operating in before they reached a peace agreement with the Colombian government. (source) 4:22 p.m. ET November 9, 2017
