A man in Alabama was awarded $7.5 million after being hurt while trying to grab a watermelon in a Walmart store. Henry Walker, 59, was awarded the money from a jury after he brought a negligence suit against Walmart.

While trying to grab a watermelon, Walker got his foot stuck on a wooden pallet beneath the watermelons, falling and breaking his hip. The most telling part of the case came after the jury was shown security footage from the Walmart, showing that Walker was not the only customer to be seen tripping on the wooden pallet. Walmart plans to appeal the decision. (source) 5:47 p.m. ET November 10, 2017
