The United States Navy has begun assistance in the search for an Argentinian submarine that went missing three days ago after the navy lost contact with them off the country’s Atlantic coast. The sub, which has a crew of 44, was travelling from southern Argentina to its homebase in Mar del Plata.

The United States Navy says that they are planning to deploy a 21-crew submarine to help look for the missing vessel, as well as aircraft to search from above. The sub is due in Mar del Plata this Sunday. (source) 1:46 p.m. ET November 18, 2017
