Mel Tillis, the legendary country music star who recorded more than 60 albums in his career, has died at the age of 85. Tillis died Sunday morning from respiratory failure.
Over his career, he scored 3 dozen top 10 singles over dozens of years. Tillis was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry as well as the Country Music Hall of Fame. Tillis also recorded “Coca Cola Cowboy,” which was featured in the Clint Eastwood movie, “Every Which Way but Loose.” (source) 3:35 p.m. ET November 19, 2017
