In an odd incident, a hunter was accidentally shot in Iowa by a shotgun after a hunting dog stepped on the firearm, causing it to fire. The man was struck in the back.

William Rancourt, 36, was pheasant hunting with three others when the dog stepped on the weapon. Rancourt, who was 22 yards away, was hit by the bird shot pellets. He was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. (source) 4:30 p.m. ET December 2, 2017
