Andrea Ramsey, 56, has dropped out of the Kansas race for a seat in the House of Representatives after allegations that she sexually harassed and then fired a male employee.

She was running for next year’s midterm elections. Ramsey says that she was inspired to run in the wake of President Trump’s election. “Twelve years ago, I eliminated an employee’s position,” Ms. Ramsey said on Facebook, “That man decided to bring a lawsuit against the company (not against me). He named me in the allegations, claiming I fired him because he refused to have sex with me. That is a lie.”

The lawsuit, which was filed against the company not her, alleged that she sexually harassed the man, and then fired him once he rejected her advances. (source) 4:52 p.m. ET December 15, 2017
