A British tourist has been sentenced to three years in prison in Egypt after she brought painkillers for her husband into the country.
Laura Plummer was arrested at Hurghada International Airport in October with 290 tablets of tramadol in her luggage. She was charged with drug possession and drug smuggling.
According to CNN, “while tramadol is legal in many countries as a prescription painkiller, it is illegal for a private individual to sell it in Egypt, where it is popular among lower-income sectors.” (source)Best Amazon Deals, January Gray, Movie Awards Plus, CentralOhioUFOReportingCenter, Bill).
