The Justice Department’s Office of Inspector General reports that the Department of Justice has not adequately handled the punishment of those found to have acted inappropriately.

The watchdog went on to say that sexual misconduct claims have been on the rise over the past 5 years, and that the problem needs “high level action.” DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz added, “We’re talking about presidential appointees, political appointees, FBI special agents in charge, U.S. attorneys, wardens, a chief deputy U.S. marshal, a U.S. marshal assistant director, a deputy assistant attorney general.” (source) 6:07 p.m. ET December 26, 2017
