Police are on scene of a possible hostage situation aboard a Greyhound bus in Illinois. Police were alerted to a situation with a man carrying a gun who was reportedly threatening passengers when the bus was in Wisconsin.

Police began to pursue the bus, and it finally stopped right around the Wisconsin/Illinois border. Some people reportedly got off the bus but police are saying hostages may remain on board.

The incident first happened at around 10:50 p.m. ET and involved a bus carrying 50 passengers, according to Greyhound. They say the bus is currently stopped in Wadsworth, Illinois.

UPDATE: State police tell WISN-TV’s Adrienne Pederson that the passengers were safely evacuated off the bus and that the suspect is in custody.
