A Palm Beach County Sheriff’s corrections deputy has been arrested alongside her husband after 16 lbs. of marijuana were found in their home.

Marquita Perez, 33, and her husband Bobby, are charged with possession of marijuana over 20 grams, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of property for trafficking, sale or the manufacture of a controlled substance with a minor present. When deputies arrested Bobby, he told them that he planned to sell the marijuana to support a child that is on the way.

Marquita has said that she had no idea that her husband of one year has been selling drugs. DNA comparisons showed the couple as both being potential contributors to DNA found on multiple bags of marijuana. (source) 4:56 p.m. ET January 18, 2018
