A proposed resolution in Florida that was overwhelmingly passed through a committee on Thursday, would declare pornography as a health risk.

This resolutions would go on to say that to combat the risk, it would require education, research, and policy changes. The bill is sponsored by Ross Spano, who is also running for Attorney General.

There was one no vote in the committee, a medical doctor who said, “We have problems with hypertension, with obesity, with diabetes, with Zika. We have a whole list of things that are important medically. I’m not so sure that we need to spend legislative time annunciating a specific complaint when we have others that are far more pressing.” (source) 5:35 p.m. ET January 18, 2018
