Genesee County Health Department has confirmed that they are currently investigating a case of Legionnaires’ disease at a nursing home in Flint, Michigan.
They have not revealed whether or not the afflicted person is still at the nursing home or not. The center has been instructed to use water filters on all faucets and to only use bottled water.
Many people exposed to the bacteria don’t develop symptoms. Those who do, typically the elderly or those in weaker health, may experience cough, fever, chills, shortness of breath, muscle aches, headaches, and diarrhea. (source) 1:31 p.m. ET January 19, 2018
