DEVELOPING: Multiple Missing After Gas Well Explosion in Oklahoma

Five people are missing after an explosion at a gas well in Pittsburgh County, Oklahoma.

The fire is west of the town of Quinton. The ensuing fire sent flames 50 feet into the air. About 2 dozen people were working on the rig at the time of the incident, with 17 accounted for. The fire has been containing itself. (source) 3:53 p.m. ET January 22, 2018

Officials say nitrous oxide is leaking from the site. A specialist company is responding to the fire. It has been confirmed to be a drilling rig, but have not stated what it is for. (source) 4:07 p.m. ET January 22, 2018
