2 earthquakes, magnitudes 5.8 and 5.0, struck just off of the northern California coastline on Thursday.
The first quake, the 5.8, was measured at a depth of 5.1 km, and was about 173 kilometers West of Ferndale. The second, the 5.0, was at a depth of 4.9 kilometers, and was centered around 181 kilometers West of Ferndale.
Both quakes were felt all around on the coastline, but no damage or injuries were reported. There are no tsunami warnings.
