Former Miami Heat player Rasual Butler and his wife were killed in a car accident on Wednesday morning.
Butler and his wife, Leah LaBelle, were killed in the single-car crash in Studio City, Calif. at around 2 a.m. Their car slammed into a wall and flipped over.
Butler was the Heat’s second-round draft pick from LaSalle 2002. He played three seasons in Miami before being traded to the Heat He also played for eight other NBA teams, with San Antonio being his last in 2016.
LaBelle was a contestant on American Idol in 2004 coming in 12th place.
