The FDA has announced that they will begin to change the packaging of some anti-diarrheals to prevent overdoses.
The change in packaging is to encourage single-dose usage. Some opioids are used as antidiarrheals, however it can be abused to suppress symptoms of withdrawal from heroin if taken in large quantities. Many of the victims include teenagers.
