BREAKING: Chaos in Philadelphia

There was an ongoing state of chaos throughout Philadelphia on Sunday evening into Monday morning, following the Philadelphia Eagles’ Super Bowl victory.

There were numerous reports of large crowds gathering, and photos and videos posted to social media showed crowds climbing onto vehicles and structures, as well as throwing objects at police.

12:23 a.m. ET: SWAT has been called to Broad and Market due to reports of people throwing objects at police officers

12:24 a.m. ET: A police officer has been struck by a vehicle near Ryan Avenue, according to scanner traffic

12:24 a.m. ET: Multiple people have fallen off light poles, sustaining serious injuries.

12:25 a.m. ET: Light poles have fallen down, with live wires on the ground

1:25 a.m. ET: Police calling for more units and riot shields as people continue to throw objects at officers.
