A 6.4 magnitude earthquake struck 14 miles (22 km) east-northeast of Hualien in Taiwan at a depth of 1 km, the U.S Geological Survey said.
No other details were immediately available. A magnitude 6.4 earthquake struck in the same area on Sunday.
