“Psycho” star John Gavin has died at the age of 86, according to his family.
Gavin, in addition to playing Sam Loomis in “Psycho,” also starred in “Midnight Lace” and served as ambassador to Mexico under Ronald Reagan. He also starred as Julius Caesar in “Spartacus” and won a Golden Globe for “A Time to Love and a Time to Die.”
He had been dealing with Leukemia, and had to be hospitalized in December. His death was attributed to complications from pneumonia.
John Gavin leaves behind a wife and two children.
