An Oregon man who worked for a tree trimming service was sentenced to prison time after he pleaded guilty to trying to push his co-worker head-first into a wood chipper.
Scott Iverson was arrested after the incident in May on attempted murder and attempted assault charges.
Iverson’s co-worker, Austin Crawford, told police they were working at a property when Iverson put him in a chokehold and tried to push him into the wood chipper machine. Another employee stepped in and stopped Iverson.
“I don’t want to die this way,” Crawford said he remembers thinking.
Iverson pleaded guilty to the attempted assault charge. He was sentenced to 70 months in prison.
