At least two Turkish troops were killed on Saturday as a military helicopter was shot down in the border region between Turkey and Syria. Turkey’s president promised that those responsible will pay a “heavy price.” The Prime Minister confirmed that the aircraft was a two-seater T129 attack and reconnaissance helicopter.

Earlier on Saturday, an Israeli jet was shot down by anti-aircraft fire in Syria after Israel began new raids following the interception of an Iranian drone.
