A man in San Francisco has been arrested on suspicion of throwing a dog from the 7th floor of a parking garage.
Wakeen Best, 35, allegedly broke into the victim’s car, where his chihuahua was inside. According to police, he then threw the dog off of the parking garage and to its death. When the victim returned to the garage, he found someone with his dog on the ground floor, and believed it to have been an accident.
However, once he returned to his vehicle, he found it was broken into and subsequently contacted police. Using security footage, police located the suspect and arrested him on Sunday.
Best faces charges of burglary, animal cruelty, grand theft, possession of stolen property, carrying a concealed weapon, vandalism, a probation violation, possession of burglary tools, possession of drug paraphernalia and violation of a court order.
