Middletown High School and three surrounding elementary schools are on lockdown following a school threat.

Officials have not stated what the threat was, but are investigating. The high school is on a “hard lockdown,” which means that students and teachers are not allowed to leave their classrooms. The elementary schools are on a “soft lockdown,” which prohibits people from leaving the campus.

The lockdowns have now been lifted. A student reportedly made a threat that he was going to go home and come back with a gun. He is now in custody and being questioned.
