The FDA is investigating reports that a euthanasia drug was found inside of Evanger’s pet food.

After ABC7 in Washington launched an investigation into a 2016 New Years Eve dog death, where 5 dogs ingested the tainted food, with one of them dying, they found troubling results. The dogs were reportedly running into walls and convulsing.

They found that the only dog food brand that had this drug, which is used to euthanize cats, dogs, and horses, was Gravy Train. The producer of this pet food, Smucker’s, has since recalled the product, as well as Kibbles ‘N Bits, Ol’ Roy, and Skippy dog food.
