Alexander Krushelnitsky, the Russian curler who tested positive for a banned substance after winning the bronze medal in mixed doubles curling at the 2018 Winter Olympics in South Korea, has been stripped of his medal by the International Olympic Committee.

The announcement came Thursday after The Court of Arbitration for Sport made a final ruling that Krushelnitsky’s results were disqualified.

He had already been banned from the remainder of the Olympics following the doping test, which AlBoeNEWS covered.
