BREAKING: Delta Plane Declares Mid-Air Emergency from Rome to JFK

A Delta plane traveling from Rome to JFK airport in New York has declared an onboard emergency while in mid-air. The flight has now been diverted to  Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris not long after it departed.

The plane departed from Rome at 2:13 p.m. (local time).

It currently remains unknown why an emergency was declared.

The Delta jet has landed at Paris airport. It is now scheduled to arrive at JFK at 9 p.m. ET No word on why emergency was declared.
