Three daycare workers have been arrested and charged with giving gummy bears laced with melatonin to young children.

The investigation into the daycare started after a parent told police that one of the workers were giving out the gummy bears to her class of 2-year-olds. The workers say that they gave them the bears to settle down for naps.

32-year-old Kristen Lauletta, 19-year-old Jessica Heyse, and 25-year-old Ashley Helfenbein, each were charged with two counts of child endangerment and two counts of battery.
