Kansas cheerleaders are among the thousands of people who may have possibly been exposed to mumps at a competition in Dallas, Texas.

More than 23,000 athletes were competing in the national event. At least two gyms were possibly exposed to the disease. The Texas health department says mumps is a contagious viral illness. Symptoms include swollen or tender salivary glands, swollen or tender testicles, low-grade fever, tiredness, and muscle aches.
