Police are currently investigating reports of shots fired inside a dorm at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.

Students and staff have been advised to shelter in place. A school spokesman said they have received reports of shots fired inside of the graduate student dorm. Northwestern University police tweeted out saying that there was a person with a gun on campus.


Police say that they have not located a shooter or victim at this time, but the shelter in place is still active as they continue to investigate.

Police have declared this a “swatting incident” and the area is being cleared. No evidence of a suspect or gunman were found. (source)
