Astronauts Scott and Mark Kelly no longer have the same genetic makeup after Scott’s prolonged presence in space, according to NASA.

The study found that 7% of Scott’s DNA changed upon his return from one year aboard the ISS. The study compared his DNA to his identical twin brother Mark’s. The changes were likely caused by the stresses of space, including radiation and oxygen-deprivation.
