Authorities in Austin, Texas, responded Sunday night to a possible explosion in the southwest part of the city.

“Austin-Travis County EMS says they responded to 4721 Eagle Feather Dr. just after 8:30 p.m. for “unconfirmed reports of six patients on the ground.” The neighborhood is off of Southwest Parkway just west of South MoPac.”

A short time later, police said that the second incident was an incorrect address and that only one explosion had taken place. They said two patients were transported with serious injuries. Police have asked local residents to remain in their homes and listen to the orders of emergency officials.

Police are also saying they are investigating a backpack that was found near the scene. Police say it will be daylight before the scene is cleared.
