Police in Austin, Texas, have held a press conference following the detonation of a fourth device in the past weeks.
The new device went off in the southwest part of the city on Sunday evening. In the early Monday press conference, police said that it is “very possible” that the device was triggered by a tripwire being handled in some way, which makes it a different detonation method than the previous bombings, which went off when people touched or moved packages that were left on doorsteps.
Residents in Austin are being told not to touch or go near any suspicious items, and instead, contact the police.
