A family who buried what they thought were the remains of their pet cat were stunned when it turned up fit and well two days later. The Robinson family’s 18-month-old cat, Willow, disappeared after it went out at night during heavy storms. Willow vanished on Feb. 26 during a storm.
The family searched for their cat for 10 days and put posters up around the neighborhood. They discovered the remains of a dead cat on a busy road outside their house on March 8. Jonny and Caterina Robinson broke the news to their sons, seven-year-old Josh, and four-year-old Buddy. They held a memorial service and buried Willow in their garden.
But two days later, Willow turned up at their home in Herefordshire, England. The family thinks that they accidentally buried another cat, which had identical markings to Willow.
Caterina said, “It’s amazing but we obviously have someone else’s cat buried in our garden. We can at least say that they had a nice burial.”
