A bus carrying the members of the Humboldt Broncos, a Canadian ice hockey team that plays in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League, has been involved in a serious traffic accident with “multiple fatalities.”

The accident occurred as the team was traveling to its game on Friday. The bus collided with a lorry, according to officials.

CTV News in Canada now says that at least 16 people had been killed as a result of the crash.
