More than 50 geese suddenly fell, dead, from the sky in Idaho Monday morning during a severe storm.
It is believed that the snow geese, which can fly at very high elevations, were all struck by lightning while flying. On the ground, the geese were found with their stomach exploded open. They all fell from the sky at the same time, landing in a several hundred yard radius.
Game and fish officials will test the remains to rule out any other possibilities as to how the geese may have died.
