The entire campus is being evacuated at Wayne State Building in Detroit, Michigan, due to a significant gas leak.

The evacuations were prompted by a gas leak after a gas main was ruptured. Construction workers nearby reportedly struck the main during their work. Witnesses report smelling the gas around the area as well as hearing the escaping gas.

According to the university, they have decided to evacuate the entire campus and classes are cancelled for the rest of the day.
