The first death in the national E.coli outbreak linked to romaine lettuce has been reported in California.

Federal health officials say that at least 121 people have been afflicted with 52 of them being hospitalized, including 14 having kidney failure. The outbreak has now spread to 25 states, with Kentucky, Massachusetts, and Utah being added.
